Christmas Time

I know! I’m the worst blogger in the world. I don’t even post once a month, but here it is. The next 10 days can’t pass soon enough. I am so ready to be done with school this semester and so is Grant. After 12 weeks of the same classes and coming up on big projects and tests, I want nothing more than to be done. I am working every day, and can’t complain about my job. I work with the best people, but even with that, I’m ready for a break. Grant works once or twice a week. He loves working at the rock climbing gym and has a ton of fun practicing his own rock climbing and teaching everyone that come in. I just keep dreaming. In 10 days we will be on a plane headed far away from Rexburg, Idaho. I will miss my family dearly, especially my little nephew. I know Ashley will take good care of him while I’m gone though. Two weeks in Virginia is going to be so fun. I don’t think I could help you all understand how excited Grant is. He and I are so excited to see family and spend some long needed quality time. Ready or not Mom and Dad, here we come!

Back to homework and tests. Love you all!

A Surprise Visit

Today we had the most wonderful opportunity to spend time with a visitor. A few days ago, Grant and I found out that Debbie was coming out to west and wanted to stop and spend a day with us.
She came out this morning. Grant was so excited! It was like a kid opening presents of Christmas morning. It was so adorable. So we spend the day visiting and showing her campus. We played Scrabble and made enchiladas. After dinner, she was getting ready to leave and say goodbye. As excited as Grant was to see his mom, my heart broke watching him say goodbye. It was time, and we said our good-byes and I-love-you's. Grant stood at the window watching her drive her away. I wish we could see our family out there more often. I love my sweet man.

BIg thing for a tiny town

This Sunday morning, I saw a blog post by my brother and new sister in law that inspired me and I want to share. The story behind this video happened in my little home town. This boy was one of my brother's friends and it was his age group's football team. This is an inspiring story. Elder Holland has taught me today. What has he taught you? What will you do about it?

It's official!

My family has grown. Quite literally. I have a new brother and a new sister. I am so excited to have them part of our family. We have been blessed to grow not only in the past few months but in the last 2 years. I have gone from one amazing sister to two. I love Heather and am so excited for her new adventure. She is the cutest pregnant woman ever. I love it! I love her. Now, I've gone from two amazing sisters to three. I love Ashley. She is beautiful, and I'm excited to come to know her better. I do know one thing. She makes Drew happy. She has made him happy like he used to be. He is giggly and googly over her. I am so excited to have her as yet another sister. I have also gone from two incredible brothers to three. Jacob is wonderful. He is such a wonderful match for Janelle. I'm excited to know him better too! The most precious addition to me is my sweetheart, Grant Rackham. We have been married for a year now, and I could not be happier. Our family has literally doubled in size. I'm so excited! And we have another addition on the way. Soon there will be a little one, Ryker David Wright. He couldn't be more blessed to come into such a wonderful family as Heather and Justin are. I love my big, beautiful, amazing family!

Good News

Lots of good news of late.

Stephanie got a job

Summer Semester is over

Our Anniversary is next Sunday.

I dyed my hair today (pics to follow)

So to elaborate, I got a job working on campus in the Records and Registration Office. I will be working full time during the 7 week break, which is fantastic! Then in the Fall, I will be working 15 hours a week. I get to work with my best girlfriend, Meghan Nelson! It is going to be wonderful. And, in case you were wondering, Grant is LOVING his job!

Summer semester is over! I only took one class this semester, but with all the craziness, that was enough. The class is over and that means, fall is coming!

Our Anniversary is next Sunday the 31st of July. I can’t believe it’s been a year! So much has happened, but it seems only yesterday I married my best friend! I love him more than I did the day we got married. My love for him grows every day!

Crazy Eights

Our lives are getting crazier but slowly getting better. We have a home. We LOVE our new apartment. We have a way to get around-both of us. We are slowly moving in. Grant has a job, and even better, he Loves his job. I am still Job hunting, but am getting through the phases. I’m on phase 3 now. Phase 1 being apply; phase 2 being-drop off resumes, phase 3 waiting and getting interviews; and phase 4 get a job. So that will be taken up with the next 8 days or more.

Janelle’s bridal shower is tonight. The temple trip is tomorrow. The Day is in 8 days.

Here we come!

Truckee, California aka Middle of Nowhere

So, for those of you who don’t know, the Bug job didn’t work out. So we are on our way back to Rexburg. On our way up, we stopped in Hughson, CA to visit Grant’s family of whom I have come to absolutely love. Shout out to the Boice Family. After about 1 day, we left to come up the Idaho Falls because Grant got a job as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the new YMCA in Idaho Falls. So we left at the ugly hour of 7 am. We were on our way, off to a new and exciting adventure. Well, we hid a road block. Literally. We blew a tire three hours in. We put on our spare, which was on its last leg, and headed down the road a few miles to a little tiny town named Truckee, California. Luckily there was an auto shop at the first exit we saw so we pulled off and talked to the man in charge. Blah blah we needed the rim we left on the side of the road…bad news. Everything is closed and no rim for us. Two days later, we call a cab and go to get the rim and tire and ten minutes later we are on the road with a $900 hole in our wallet. Advice: Never get stuck in Truckee California. Ever!
